Removal of Moles And Lesions

If you’re affected by a visible irregularity on the surface of the skin, a procedure to remove a mole or lesion could contribute to making the skin more even in texture and tone. These concerns can include: freckles, moles, cysts, lipomas, warts and skin tags, which may be raised or sit flush to the skin’s surface. A procedure will often produce a permanent result, and can help a person to feel more confident with their looks.

The experts advice

A mole or lesion may not be harmful. A consultation will help to identify which type of lesion you are affected by, which in turn will determine the type of procedure that is required in order to remove it. The Toni Clinic performs Diathermy which is effective for removing many skin lesions.

Common Questions

I.Who is a suitable candidate?

A mole or lesion can cause a person to feel embarrassed by its appearance, especially if it’s location is noticeable to others. Irregularities that are raised or hang from the skin’s surface can cause some discomfort or bleed if they rub on clothing, or regularly get snagged. A procedure to remove these lesions can eradicate any of these concerns.

II.What areas can be treated?

A mole or lesion can appear on any part of the face or body. Whichever procedure is the most suitable, it is often the case that it is able to be performed on the area of the face or body where it is required.

III.What, if any, are the side effects?

The treated area may feel tender after the procedure. There may also be a wound, which will need some time to heal. It is very likely that there may be some kind of minor scarring left behind, depending on the type of procedure that has been carried out. However, with modern techniques, there is a high chance that this will be fairly discrete.

IV.How much does the removal of a mole or lesion cost?

from £200
